Market Entry Analysis and Reports
Section
One: Overview
The
Boston Intelligence Group (B.I.G., Inc.) was approached by
Los Angeles-based Ascension Marketing to manage the research
and development of 5 in-depth product-marketing reports for
separate South Korean companies seeking entry into the U.S.
market.
A
key variable in each report was the need to capture current
and projected sales of isolated products and industry segments,
further analyzing this data to project potential sales growth
and possible market opportunities for each product in question.
Added to this, Ascension Marketing required an in-depth marketing
and action plan as part of each report.
Section
Two: Strategy
The
B.I.G. team put in place a research team and report writing
team to handle the heavy request of producing the five reports
within the time frame of 1-month. With the designated team
in place, B.I.G. presented for client approval a report outline
for each report that included research, reporting and expected
findings components.
For each
report, the B.I.G. team synthesized information and produced
concise market analysis on product background, current market
conditions, market competitors, market opportunities and sales
goals. The goal for each report was to provide the client
with a recommendation as to whether or not U.S. market entry
was desirable, feasible and executable.
Section
Three: Results
For
each report, B.I.G. produced a bound report with expert advice
on the product and market segment in question. Feedback from
the client, through Ascension Marketing, has been extremely
positive and the reports have helped in the direct decision-making
process for these Korean companies.
More importantly,
due in large part to B.I.G.'s analysis, follow-up proposals
and marketing plans have been requested based on our preliminary
findings.
